95 days...

Sometimes I wish I could take a remote control and press the fast forward button! I try really hard not to think that way, but I am just so excited for May 28!

This weekend was busy and tiring, yet blissful! I got my engagement ring and wedding band (which I cannot wait to wear!!!!) re-sized yet again because I have such teeny tiny fingers. Jewelers don't seem to believe how small they really are. They also keep saying something about my finger size fluctuating when I kept showing them how massive a size 4 1/4 was...I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who knows how much my fingers fluctuate :)

Anyway, after much persuading, my ring size, according to the jeweler, is officially "somewhere between a 3 1/2 and a 3 3/4". And it's not even tight! It fits perfectly. David likes the fact that I have small fingers because I can help him load bullets into his guns much easier and quicker than him. LOL! I already know what it is like to be a cop's wife! :)

This weekend also consisted of a large milestone in our engaged time...we moved David out of his apartment! Our house renovations are not completed yet (they will hopefully be done within the next month!), so David is temporarily living in the house he grew up in. He will move into our home as soon as the renovations are complete! Right now there are nails, wood planks, sawdust, and other construction-ish things all around...not good for living standards as of yet :)

For those of you who know Dave and his silly personality, you'll appreciate that he said this:

"I need to make sure that I put all of my ammunition in my gun safe since I'm keeping my guns at dad's house...I don't care if someone steals all my clothes and I have to go naked...I'd rather them not steal my ammo". Typical :)

Speaking of our house, we went to check on the renovation process and it's looking so great! The indoor painting is complete and the new cabinets are ready to make their debut in our kitchen. All the floors have been ripped up and are waiting for the new carpet and flooring in the kitchen and laundry room. I AM SOOOO EXCITED! Sorry for the lack of photos of the house...next time I'm there, I will try and take some pictures so everyone can see the progress.

We also spent time with our friends Caitlin and Matt. Matt and Dave have been close friends for a very long time now and are hilarious when together- I love hearing them crack up about funny high school stories involving things like launching people off of trampolines or red velvet cake. Matt and Caitlin got married in 2010 and we love hanging out with them. When the four of us get together, we are always laughing and telling stories so it's always a good time! On Saturday night we went to a new restaurant called Suki which was really good and went back to M & C's place for our intense games of UNO.

I think we can now say that it's official: intense, loud games of UNO where we are constantly screwing each other over to win has become a tradition for Dave, me, Matt, and Caitlin. Love it! We played at least over a dozen rounds. By the way, I won a bunch at the beginning and Caitlin won a bunch at the end...and Dave won once (it could have been twice due to his lack of saying "UNO!" when he had one card left). Sorry guys! :)

The next morning, we met Matt and Caitlin at their church. Since Dave and I are moving somewhere in between where we were both living before, we are on a mission to find a new church. It was great! We went to an engaged/married Sunday school class and everyone was so welcoming. The church service also reminded me a lot of the church I've always gone to. Needless to say, we loved it.

We spent the rest of Sunday washing cars (and inventory-ing my car as Dave says...because I had so much clutter in it from high school), shooting guns (it's fun and such a challenge to try and hit the bulls-eye of a target!), eating delicious food, and spending time with family!

Tomorrow (Wednesday),Dave and I are going to meet with someone to continue discussing finances when we get married (retirement, budgeting, etc). I NEVER thought the day would come that I'd actually have to think about this stuff!
