A First!

So I've been inspired and motivated to start this type of blog - about life updates and such. As some or many of you may know, I have been posting to a health related blog. I realized that a large majority of my posts were about food/recipes, so I will go ahead and tie those types of posts to this blog.

Ever since college graduation (May 2010), it feels like everyone is now scattered in different directions. Groups of friends aren't living in the same dorm halls or apartment complexes anymore. It's a bittersweet thing, but it is a wonderful feeling to grow up and do great things with life!

...Which is one of the reasons why I'm motivated to start this blog! To keep people updated.

So, with all of that being said...

December 28, 2010 was a pretty awesome day. My love, David, asked me to be his wife atop the Westin Hotel at the Sundial with Atlanta's shiny, sparkly city lights in the background...and the city lights weren't the only things that were sparkly and shiny...he gave me a gorgeous ring! It was wonderful. All of it.

He completely surprised me (I knew it would probably come in the next few months, but I definitely didn't think it would happen on a random Tuesday night!). Daniel and Paige (my future brother and sister in law) got the entire thing on video along with some great photos, David and I shared a romantic dinner (and delish ooey-gooey brownie with a blob of ice cream on top dessert)for two, and best of all, we had the love, excitement, and support from all those who mean the most to us! It was the most perfect proposal.

I'm incredibly blessed to have David...who cooks for me, who is always willing to talk, be open, listen, and communicate effectively with me, who loves to spend time with family, who enjoys teaching me new things, who I feel safe with, who comforts me when I'm feeling down, and who I can be myself and laugh with. This list can go on, but we'll save the rest for another time :)

We're getting married May 28, 2011! Everything is falling into place beautifully! We are beyond excited and cannot wait to start our lives together as The Bohannons.
